NY Comic Con: Riddle Me This, True Believers…
By Tuck • Feb 7th, 2009 • Category: Geek Commentary (New Whenever!)So…I wonder, True Believers…what is the importance of this image below to the Geeks With Issues coverage of the New York Comic Convention?

That’s Batman the Animated Series, right? Of course, that’s easy. Batman’s a comic character, and we’re at a convention for comics. Give you something challenging, right? Well, how does that image directly correlate to this one:

Penny Arcade? Huh…they both have comic origins. They are both quite popular with the Geek crowd. But one of them is an animation, while one is a straight comic. The corralation is beginning to stretch, especially since we’re talking about the Geeks With Issues coverage, and not just panels or events at the Con. Well, how about this little clue:

That’s Steve Sansweet, Head of Fan Relations at Lucasfilms. What do Batman the Animated Series, Penny Arcade and Steve Sansweet have to do with the Geeks With Issues coverage of the NY Comic Con 2009?
All three are the topic of interviews done by the Geeks. Sansweet, Penny Arcade creators Mike “Gabe” Krahulik & Jerry “Tycho” Holkins and Batman the Animated Series creator Bruce Timm all had a chance to sit down with our on-location Geeks for an interview! How’s that for coverage, people?
So, when do you see all of this magical content? Especially since you’re still waiting for that awesome stuff from the New York Anime Festival? Well, there’s good news and bad news. The bad news is that the offical, full length episodes aren’t coming out until March, as we’re trying to roll out the NYAF episodes in February. The good news is that pieces of our interview, stripped to the bear bones, will be available on this very website, along with other awesome Geeks Go To Comic Con 2009 content, all of the upcoming week!
So, as always, stay tuned, True Believers. Because anything that’s awesome enough to make me come out of my pre-fatherhood related exile has got to be good. And trust me, it is.
