NY Comic Con: Day One, A Visual Record

By Tuck • Feb 7th, 2009 • Category: Geek Features (New Every Few Days!)

Seriously, True Believers, the awesomeness and complexity of this year’s New York Comic Convention is no laughing matter.  It is no joke how absolutely awesome this year’s convention is.

And now that the 1960’s Batman-styled puns are over with, let’s get down to the gravy.  You want to see the sort of action that you Geeks have been involved in since yesterday, right?  I don’t blame you – especially since we’re going to be forcing you to wait a month for every tasty moment of Comic Con action, you need a fix.  And you need it now.

Not to worry – as your Geeks have done at every event we’ve attended, there’s a heavy duty visual record of each day’s events.  You can find the pictures our Geeks exploits on our Geekshots page.  And, as always,  you can watch our traditional daily Animoto video, this time with 50% more plot!:

You’ll notice that there are fewer “Geeks in Action” in this particular collection.  The reason for this is the fact that only two members of the GwI team (Chris and Rob) were able to attend Friday’s action.  In fact, this is the first that 100% of our On-Screen Geeks are not present at an on-site event.  This doesn’t mean you don’t get to see your Geeks in action during the upcoming episodes.  I was actively working with the Geeks to coordinate as much of the action as I could, and even got the chance to do an interview!  And the other three Geeks aren’t under the radar either – your Geeks are eagerly looking forward to sitting down with the footage from the Convention and talk about the amazing stuff that came our of this fantastic event.

I hope this taste ties you over, True Believers, because we are not done yet.  There is a recap of the action on the way, as well as some really special previews of the interviews and events that we experienced during the convention on the way tonight, tomorrow, and throughout the week.  We’re making this year’s New York Comic Convention, the biggest so far, a really special event.
