“Operation: Podcast Penetration” is Go!

I am pleased to report that, after dragging our feet on this matter for far too long, Tuck and I have submitted the Geeks With Issues video, as well as the audio “Geeks With Issues Online,” podcast feeds to four of the biggest podcast aggregators on the web; iTunes, Podcast Alley, Podcast Pickle and Blubrry. These websites have blooming communities, each very interested in the art and content of podcasting, and each is a fantastic place for us to find new fans of our program.

However, these sites change the popularity of their content based on the ratings and the reviews of other users. And since the Geeks can’t provide enough people to draw positive attention ourselves, we need the help of our True Believers.

As a result, we have activated “Operation: Podcast Penetration.” The plan is simple: True Believers and Fans of our show will do what they can to visit as many of the major podcast aggregators they’d like to visit. They then post positive reviews, and score the show well (all presuming they feel we deserve it). This increases the score that our content receives…and as a result, increases the amount of attention it gets. New viewers means new potential fans, and the True Believers grow.

That’s how to build a fan base, my friends. Start with a few loyalists, and then grow from there.

So…you’re ready to become involved. How, you ask? You can do so two ways:

1. You can join our Street Team, and get access to all of the Geeks special operations in the future as one of our loyal “Geektroopers” – in addition to the outline of this mission:

Geeks%20With%20Issues
Quantcast

2. You can skip the Geektrooper treatment, and just visit the following websites:

iTunes:
Search for “Geeks With Issues” in the iTunes Store (WARNING: There is a zombified version of the Geeks With Issues Online podcast. Ignore it – it’s a broken version from our old site)

Podcast Alley:

Podcast Pickle:

We’ve given you the tools, True Believers. Now the task is yours. Spread the word.

Actuator Omega-One is is the Digital Controller for The Geeks With Issues. Omega-One, a modified R.O.B. Unit saved from the clutches of a yard sale, is pleased the help us out by administrating to our website's content. In addition, Omega is featured as the lead-in narrator for the Geeks With Issues Online podcast. When not keeping the website in perfect working order, Actuator Omega-One quietly spirits away the NES from our set. What he does with it, no one knows.
