Interesting questions, I think I got the same email at one point too. I believe it is the right direction in bringing the world of extreme Geekdom to the masses:

A. It's on a network that is driven towards poeple who are reality TV and maybe music geeks already so the seed is already planted for a geeky bloom. I think its good and perfect time for a True Geek main stream TV show, with all of the comic movies coming out and a surge in comic sale themselves, people are primed for the new experience of a convention driven towards this "new" found passion in the public's eye.

B. On the questions about more shows like this and the "look at this freak" mentality some people may have on the subject, that's all up to the writers and the producer of the series. If they start off with the "look at this freak" motif, they will make the quick buck that usually associated with the, lets blast this as a fad and move back to our normal programming. If they do it right, the sear genius behind the marketing longevity will be paramount. This will give such a wide and fertile base for the programing to grow and eventually give us a steady stream of good TV again.

This all being predictive and is sprinkled with a touch of hope, but if they do it the right way I might even consider ordering cable for my residence.

Ok, I was watching the episode and I got to a great part about the games being to easy rant by tuck. (Which I will SO be posting about) Then mollie was talking and at 19:21 the vid just stopped. The timer on the bottom was still going but the video was not playing.

On a side note the video is back to being much more clear! Yay!

(Lol the recaptcha on the bottom words are "and" and "Asylum". Asylum is the guild name of the guild I am currently in while playing WoW)
